This is very exciting because I have never blogged before, so I hope to have a few part time followers who will really enjoy it! I'll start by giving everyone an update on my life so far...

Hi I'm Lydia Capps as you all should well know. I'm currently living in Newport News, Virginia. I have just moved into my 3rd place within the past year and finally feel "at home". I'm working full time as a senior lifeguard/pool assistant manager this summer to pay the bills and getting ready to go back to school in about a month. I'm planning on trying to find a new job either at an organic health food store or a floral shop. It would be ideal for me to work at a place like Anderson's Nursery but the season of fall and winter would just mean I would be working around pumpkins and not too many plants. I'm majoring in Botany (the study of plants basically). I havent been back to school in 4 years so this is going to be a big change for me. I've been putting it off for way too long and I've realized that full time waitressing jobs and lifeguarding jobs are just not going to pay the bills in the future for me. I'm currently dating an awesome guy who has the biggest heart for God and I'm so happy to have him in my life. I love his family and I couldnt ask for any better friends. They have been the most caring and friendly people that I have ever met. It's such a blessing to be able to share my life with them. I have a road trip planned with my roommates Allie and Matt to Maine to visit Allie's family in August. I have never been to Maine so I'm really looking forward to spending 4 days there. It's also very exciting because the furthest I've gone on a roadtrip is to NYC, so this should be really fun! Not to mention I will be sharing the back seat with Miss Baby Chola (truley a princess at heart), I love her to death haha she's a cutie. My family is still living in Newport News, Virginia as well but currently fixing up the house to move into a new one. I believe they are looking to move at the end of this summer early fall to the yorktown or seaford area. I'm really excited for them because it's been 20 years since they have moved and it's well overdue now that they need the extra space. I can't believe it's been that long! I have been riding a single speed bike for about 4 months now and can't get enough of it! I love riding my bike everywhere. Eventually I plan on riding my bike more than drving my car. It's a pretty big commitment but I am more than ready to commit to it. My goals this year are to get through my first semester of school smoothly, get more involved at first church, take more pictures, ride my bike to places I need to go, put away more money than I have this past year to save, find a job that I'm really going to enjoy, meet new people, and learn to knit and sew :) Don't worry, I'll keep you all updated!
